The Bohemian Border Bash

There is a beautiful natural park located between Czech and Germany where this September (from Thursday, 12th to Sunday, 15th) there will be one of the top gravel events of the year.

The Bohemian Border Bash it’s not a race. It is a collection of inspiring rides among sandstone pinnacles and rocky gorges, wild streams, and winding roads. With all those ingredients we are completely sure that it’s gonna be amazing to participate in this event.

They have organized a gravel cycling camp where all riders that will be part of it will have the opportunity to live a great adventure during the whole weekend, enjoying different kinds of rides, a lot of activities, and, obviously, some parties.

  • 300km long Gravel Adventure
  • 150km long Gravel Gran Fondo
  • 75km long AlleyCat Treasure Hunt Ride
  • 35km long Hangover ride
  • Thursday night Free Beers Party
  • Saturday night “Medieval” Party with music & beers of course

About the Bohemian-Sachsen Switzerland National Park:

The park bears its name thanks to two Swiss artists, Adrian Zingg, and Anton Graff, who were appointed by the Dresden Academy of Art in 1766. The two artists were so inspired by this place that they started to call the place Saxon Switzerland, Sächsische Schweiz in German. The park is well known among climbers thanks to its approximately 1000 climbing peaks (pinnacles), and hikers alike. Now, it’s a prime location to ride gravel bikes as well.

The region is easily accessible by both train and car, and by extension of course by bike.

    Hay un espectacular parque nacional ubicado entre la República Checa y Alemania donde este septiembre (del jueves 12 al domingo 15) se va a llevar a cabo uno de los eventos eventos gravel del año.

    The Bohemian Border Bash no es una carrera. Es una colección de rutas inspiradoras entre grande columnas de roca y gargantas rocosas, arroyos salvajes y caminos sinuosos donde podrás vivir una experiencia realmente alucinante inmerso en un paraíso de la naturaleza. El paísaje que lo rodea es increíble, solo hay que ver las fotos para empezar a babear.

    Por otro lado, los organizadores han preparado un auténtico campamento gravel con un cartel repleto de de rutas gravel, test de productos, un buen montón de actividades y, como es obvio, alguna que otra fiesta.

    A continuación, os detallamos algunas de las actividades que tienen programadas:

    • Ruta gravel de 300 km (Gravel Adventure)
    • Ruta gravel de 150 km (Gran Fondo Gravel)
    • Ruta gravel de 75 km (AlleyCat Treasure Hunt Ride)
    • Ruta gravel de 35 km (Hangover ride)
    • Jueves noche, Free Beers Party
    • Sábado noche, “Medieval” Party

    Acerca del Bohemian-Sachsen Switzerland National Park:

    El parque lleva su nombre gracias a dos artistas suizos, Adrian Zingg, y Anton Graff, que fueron nombrados por la Academia de Arte de Dresde en 1766. Los dos artistas se inspiraron tanto en este lugar que comenzaron a llamarlo Suiza Sajona, Sächsische Schweiz en alemán. El parque es bien conocido entre el mundo de la escalada gracias a sus aproximadamente 1.000 vías de escalada, además, también es un lugar muy concurrido por excursionistas y, ahora también, por fanáticos de las bicicletas gravel.

    La región es fácilmente accesible en coche y tren y, por extensión, también en bici.
