Ha pasado justo un año y aquí estamos nuevamente asistiendo al Road Spring Connection 2023, unas jornadas para prensa y marcas muy especial organizadas por Bike Connection Agency (BCA) en la hermosa localidad de Massa Maritima, en la Toscana; una región que ofrece todo lo necesario para disfrutar de la bici, la comida y el buen clima.

En esencia, el evento Road Spring Connection reúne a algunos de los medios de comunicación más importantes de la industria del ciclismo y una cuidada selección de marcas y fabricantes. En ese escenario, las marcas lanzan y presentan nuevos productos a los medios, quienes luego pueden probarlos y compartir impresiones durante toda una semana.

En el centro del evento está el equipo de BCA, Simon, Giulio y Lissa, que se encargan de que todo funcione sin problemas. El trabajo que hacen es impresionante y gracias a eso pudimos conectar con todas las marcas en el evento, y esta vez la selección fue exquisita: Fulcrum, Pirelli, YT, SQLab, Vittoria, Northwave, Komoot, Ducati y FSA.

Nuevos productos y highlights

Comenzando con las ruedas y neumáticos, Fulcrum y Pirelli unieron fuerzas para permitirnos probar sus últimas novedades. Vale la pena destacar el Pirelli Pzero Tubeless que se lanzó recientemente con una construcción totalmente nueva. ¡En cuanto a Fulcrum, no podemos desvelar nada todavía pero os podemos decir que la espera hasta el lanzamiento valdrá la pena!

El equipo de SQLab, con sede en Munich, nos explicó su enfoque altamente técnico en la ergonomía y toda la gama de productos ya disponibles. Vienen fuertes con un producto bien elaborado, de alta calidad y atractivo, además de algunos conceptos que antes no se asociaban con mucha frecuencia a la ergonomía.

Luego vino YT. ¿Qué decir? Presentaron la Szepter, una bici de aspecto extraño que no cumple con ninguno de los conceptos actuales establecidos para gravel o carretera. Sin embargo, esa misma bicicleta supo sacar una sonrisa a cada una de las personas que la probaron y solo podemos confirmar que ciertamente sirve para divertirse.

En los próximos días estaremos hablando más en detalle de las marcas ya mencionadas y otras que también mostraron sus productos. Estad atentos a las nuevas zapatillas de Northwave, productos recién salidos del horno de manos de Vittoria y las últimas prestaciones de la plataforma presentadas por el equipo de Komoot.

One full year has passed and here we are again, attending the Road Spring Connection 2023. This special press camp has for years been organized by Bike Connection Agency (BCA) , and this time it took place in the beautiful Massa Maritima in Tuscany. A region that provides everything needed to enjoy cycling life to the fullest.

In essence, the Road Spring Connection event gathers some of the most important media outlets of the cycling industry and a curated selection of brands and manufacturers. In that setting, brands pitch and present new products to the media, who are then able to test them and share their feedback for an entire week.

At the core of the event is the team of BCA – Simon, Giulio, and Lissa – taking care that everything runs smoothly. The work they do is impressive and thanks to that, we were able to connect with all the brands in the event. On this occasion, the selection was exquisite: Fulcrum, Pirelli, YT, SQLab, Vittoria, Northwave, Komoot, Ducati and FSA.

New products and highlights

Starting with wheels and tires, Fulcrum and Pirelli combined efforts to let us test their newest stuff. Worth highlighting here is the Pirelli P Zero Tubeless which has been recently released with a totally new construction. On the Fulcrum side, we can only wait for them to release what they presented!

The SQLab team, based in Munich, explained to us their highly technical focus on ergonomics and introduced us to the product range already available. They are coming strong with a well-crafted, high-quality, and attractive product, some concepts that were not very commonly linked to ergonomics before.

Then came YT. What to say? They presented the Szepter, a weird-looking bike that does not meet any of the current gravel or road-established concepts. However, that same bike was able to put a smile on each of the riders who tested it and we can only confirm that it certainly serves the purpose of having fun.

In the upcoming days, we will be talking more in detail about the already mentioned brands and other ones that also showed their products. Stay tuned for the new shoes of Northwave, some big drops of Vittoria, and a revitalized Komoot features set.
