This weekend was the official opening of The Bike Club Barcelona, ​​a bar-shop-workshop that aims to become one of the best places of the city.

To celebrate the opening, they did the best combined: alleycat + prizes + beer and food. Winning combination ever.

The race didn’t disappoint anyone. An infart circuit and a scoring system to give it a more exitement and it allowed that more people would opt for the top prize.

The race operation was simple. There were 6 mandatory checkpoints where riders earned 5 points for each of them, also they had the option of making some extra points by test (+5 ) or, well, attending optional checkpoints (+10). The rider who got more points in less time, would be the winner of the race .

The results were:

  • Winner: Daniel Márquez ( 1:37:57 )
  • Girls Category: Maria Rig
  • The fastest rider to complete the mandatory checkpoints: Beto de Alva
  • Best costume: Paul Moraga (Osama Bin Laden)

For the prizes, there was a Aventón Mataro for the winner, a Bern helmet for the best girl, stand bike made ​​of wood by 2con7 for the fastest runner, and a set of wheels by Bikeit for the best costume. In addition to these prizes, there were gifts thanks to The Bike Club , Santa Fixie and Two Wheels Fuel 4 Life.

Good luck to the guys of The Bike Club in their new venture.

    Este fin de semana fue la apertura oficial de The Bike Club Barcelona, un bar-tienda-taller que pretende convertirse en uno de los puntos de referencia de la ciudad condal.

    Para celebrar la inauguración apostaron por el combinado alleycat + premios + cerveza y comida. Combinación ganadora siempre.

    La carrera no decepcionó a nadie. Un recorrido de infarto, mucha gente y un sistema de puntuación para darle un poco más de emoción permitió que más gente pudiera optar por el primer premio.

    El funcionamiento de la carrera era sencillo. Había 6 checkpoints obligatorios en los que los corredores ganaban 5 puntos por cada uno de ellos, además, tenían la opción de ganar puntos extra realizando alguna prueba (+5) o, bien, acudiendo a checkpoints opcionales (+10). El corredor que consiguiera más puntos en menos tiempo, sería el vencedor de la carrera.

    Los resultados quedaron de la siguiente manera:

    • Ganador absoluto: Daniel Márquez (01:37:57)
    • Categoría chicas: María Rig
    • El corredor más veloz en completar los checkpoints obligatorios: Beto de Alva
    • Mejor disfraz: Paul Moraga (Osama Bin Laden)

    Para la entrega de premios, hubo un cuadro Aventón Mataro para el vencedor, un casco Bern para la mejor chica, un soporte de bici realizado en madera de 2con7 para el corredor más veloz, y un juego de ruedas (Bikeit) para el mejor disfraz. Además de todos estos premios, hubo regalos gracias a The Bike Club, Santa Fixie y Two Wheels Fuel 4 Life.

    Mucha suerte a los chicos de The Bike Club en su nueva aventura.
