Fixed Days and RAD RACE – Day 2

Durante el día de ayer, continuaron los torneos de bike polo, minidrome y freestyle, y todos los stands de tiendas y de las marcas ya estaban a pleno rendimiento luciendo sus productos de gala y mostrando sus próximas novedades.

El recinto estaba lleno a rebosar, la gente no quería perderse nada y allí no se paraban de hacer competiciones, demostraciones, reproducciones, etc.

Pese a todo lo que pudimos ver, consideramos que el plato fuerte de ayer se lo llevo la esperada RAD RACE.

Sobre las 16:30 empezaron los entrenamientos, los primeros corredores recorrían el circuito y completaban las primeras vueltas por el circuito. Un recorrido super técnico y explosivo, aceleración pura y frenadas extremas, un trazado con casi 30 curvas y con la mayoría de ellas cerradas donde no permitían relajarse a los corredores ni un solo momento.

Las clasificaciones comenzaron y ronda a ronda fueron pasando los mejores cuatro corredores de cada una. El formato de carrera era realmente exigente, no podías dormirte ni un solo segundo porque la agresividad de los riders y la presión de saber que a cada vuelta el último se quedaba fuera, convertía aquello en un puro infierno.

Una de las sorpresas la dieron los corredores con manillares de doble altura y bicis de trucos que, al ser un circuito tan revirado y la posibilidad de rodar con una conducción más agresiva, les permitía posicionarse bien durante la carrera y proteger su puesto hasta el final.

Los ocho finalistas que consiguieron llegar a la última ronda, fueron:

Para la “traca” final habría que dar un total de 7 vueltas dándolo todo para que solo un hombre quedará en pie: el ganador.

Todos los corredores habían hecho unas rondas muy buenas y la final prometía.

Comenzó la carrera y la salida fue clave para definir la cabeza de grupo. La agresividad de los riders en la primera curva dejaba claro que nadie quería quedarse fuera.

El equipo 8bar intentaba escaparse haciéndose con los primeros puestos pero, Mario (Mad City Rides), no se lo puso fácil. Vuelta a vuelta se disputaron el segundo puesto entre Mario y Stefan, mientras que Max mantenía su primera posición e intentaba alejarse.

Mario y su bici de trucos consiguieron hacerse con el segundo puesto e ir a por Max. Stefan no tuvo tanta suerte y, tras salvar una caída, no pudo continuar por un problema con su bici, una lástima.

La carrera continuaba y los dos riders en cabeza no bajaban el ritmo. El recinto se hundía, la gente gritaba, no dejaban de animar y los corredores, ya sin fuerza, apretaban un poco más los dientes para seguir pedaleando fortísimo.

Finalmente, la victoria fue para Max Baginski del 8bar Team tras una gran y dura carrera, y la segunda posición para Mario Hernández de Mad City Rides, el cual brindó un show vuelta a vuelta y logró poner al público del revés.

En cuanto a chicas, no se quedaron cortas. Llegaron a la final las corredoras:

La ronda final también fue muy emocionante. Mianzi logró posicionarse rápido en la cabeza de carrera pero el resto de corredoras lucharon duro para conseguir un buen resultado.

Steff Gutovska (Mad City Rides) consiguió ponerse en segunda posición y dejar por detrás a Claudia Weiss (Gorilla Urban Cycling). Durante varias vueltas mantuvo la posición pero a falta de unas vueltas, cometió un fallo y sufrió una caída que permitió a Claudia superarla.

La ganadora absoluta de la final de chicas fue Mianzi Rei de Schindelhauer Bikes gracias a la gran carrera que hizo.

Después de finalizar ambas finales, se hizo la entrega de premios y llegó el momento de la fiesta. Buena música, cervezas, ambientazo y muchas ganas de pasarlo bien. Una forma genial de acabar el día.

Yesterday continued the bike polo tournaments, freestyle and minidrome, and all the stands of shops and brands were already in full and showing their products and next developments.

The venue was full, people didn’t want to miss anything and there always there were competitions, shows, playing videos, etc .

Despite all that we could see, we believe that the highlight of yesterday took him the RAD RACE.

By 04:30 pm started training , the first riders ride the circuit and completed the first laps around the circuit. A super technical and explosive route, pure acceleration and heavy braking, a path with 30 curves where the riders couldn’t relax even for a moment.

The rankings began and were going round to round the top four riders each. The race format was really picky, you couldn’t sleep for a single second because the aggressiveness of the riders and the pressure of knowing that at every lap the last one left off, in what became pure hell .

One of the surprises were the riders with double height handlebars and bicycle tricks, where a twisty circuit and the ability to roll with a more aggressive driving, allowed ranking well in the race and protect his position until the end .

The eight finalists who made it to the final round were:

For the big final, the riders should be given a total of 7 laps giving everything so that only last man standing: the winner.

All riders had made very good rounds and the final promised .

Started out career and was instrumental in defining the group head . The aggressiveness of the riders at the first corner made it clear that no one wanted to be left out.

The 8bar team tried to escape seizing the top spot but Mario (Mad City Rides) not made it easy . Lap by lap second place between Mario and Stefan were played while Max kept its first position and tried to get away .

Mario and your tricks bike and managed to take second place and go for Max. Stefan was not so lucky and, after saving a fall, could not continue because of a problem with his bicycle, a shame .

The race continued and the two riders in head down not up. The building went down, people were screaming, they were cheering, and the riders did the last effort.

Finally , the victory went to Max Baginski of 8bar bikes Team after a fast and hard race, and the second position to Mario Hernández of Mad City Rides, which provided a show during all the race.

For the girls, the riders of the final were:

The final round was also very exciting. Mianzi quickly positioned itself at the head of the race but the other riders fought hard to get a good result.

Steff Gutovska (Mad City Rides) managed to get second place and leave behind Claudia Weiss (Gorilla Urban Cycling). For several laps held the position but lack a few laps, she made a fault and suffered a fall which allowed Claudia overcome .

The overall winner of the final was Mianzi Rei of Schindelhauer bikes thanks to the great career he did.

After both finals, the prizes and after the party arrived. Good music, beer, good clima and eager to have fun. A great way to end the day.
