Criterium Gijón 2014
Since the creation, the Criterium Gijón has stood for a job well done. This year, in its 4th edition, highlights the ability of the organization that has had to read the evolution of an event that in a few years has found a significant dimension and has positioned itself as one of the most prestigious international criteriums.
The 2014 is still a very good year in terms of number of events, new races and others consolidated. Among all, Gijon, ranks as one of the events related, and also as a serious test before the Red Hook Crit Barcelona to be held in late August.
Tommaso Nolli (Squadra Corse Iride) with the #1 number will have to get their best weapons to defend last year’s victory and, more than likely, it will not be easy.
The course, located on campus, has 1.6 km of pure technique and explosiveness. The race will be divided into two categories Womens and Mens, and start time is at 16:45 h for the girls and a total of 12 laps, while the men start at 18:00 h.
A test of the impeccable work of the organization is the fantastic work of graphic design, communication and dissemination of the event; have managed to go a step further and the result is in contrast to the enthusiasm from teams and first class riders entered the race.
The glory of the victory is certainly the maximum incentive for the riders but, this time, the organization and sponsors did not want to skimp on the prizes, because you have to rub your eyes and narrow view. Dosnoventa and Brick Lane Bikes (BLB) have made an effort and maximum sponsorship of the event and have joined forces to complete the assembly of two DETROIT2 framesets with a custom paint for the awesome event inspired by the colors and graphics of the Criterium Gijón. The components for these two unique pieces, have run hand BLB has chosen for its higher-end products, the result: AN AIRPLANE.
Besides Dosnoventa and BLB, you can find brands like ASS SAVERS, Deporte Gijón and 24bottles, completing the list of sponsorships and a bunch of collaborators supporting this great event.
For the part that we have to do, this weekend will be packing and we will take off towards Gijón and arrive there with the RAW Cycling Team to fight for good results and enjoy this great race.
