Criterio Fixed, Río de Janeiro

En Río de Janeiro no para de aumentar la temperatura y la euforia y no, esta vez no se trata de fútbol o el gran carnaval, en esta ocasión se trata del Criterio Fixed, la primera gran prueba de tipo critérium en Brasil con el soporte de grandes marcas.

Se disputará el próximo 17 de mayo en los alrededores de la célebre catedral del fútbol mundial, el estadio Maracaná. Carrera que se ha incluido en el proyecto de Federación Latino-Americana de Critériums que se disputará entre Chile y Brasil.

A pesar del amor por el fútbol y la inconmensurable pasión por “La Canarinha”, ciudades como Río o Sao Paulo, son auténticos centros neurálgicos para la comunidad ciclista y los colectivos que forman parte del movimiento fixed brasileño que crece sin tregua con la pasión, la alegría y el entusiasmo que caracteriza a este increíble país.

Uno de los grandes objetivos del Cirterio Fixed es precisamente hacer crecer la cultura del piñón fijo en la ciudad Carioca.

El circuito que rodea el estadio tiene 1,8 km y un recorrido rápido, con largas rectas, pero a la vez equilibrado con algunas zonas muy técnicas.

La carrera dispondrá de tres categorías:

Femenina (6 vueltas y posibilidad utilizar freno)
Masculina 1 (14 vueltas, distancia de 25.2 km)
Masculina 2 (10 vueltas, distancia de 18 km)

Máxima seguridad, ambulancias, cronometraje electrónico y race staff son algunos de los detalles que la organización del evento RJFG (Río de Janeiro Fixed Gear) no ha querido dejar atrás. Muchos son los sponsors que se han sumado al patrocinio de esta prueba que apunta a ser uno de los eventos del año en el país y creemos que esto solo es la punta del iceberg.

In Rio de Janeiro the heat continues to increase and euphoria and no, this time it’s not about football or big carnivals, this time it’s the Criterio Fixed, the first major test of criterium type in Brazil with the support of major brands.

It will be held on 17 May in the vicinity of the famous cathedral of world football, the Maracana. The race has been included in the project of Latin American Federation criteriums to be played between Chile and Brazil.

Despite the love for football and the immeasurable passion for “The Seleção”, cities like Rio or Sao Paulo are genuine hubs for the cycling community and the groups that are part of the Brazilian movement growing relentlessly fixed with passion, joy and enthusiasm that characterizes this amazing country .

One of the major objectives is precisely Cirterio Fixed growing fixed gear culture in the Carioca city.

The circuit around the stadium has 1.8 km and a quick tour, with long straights, yet balanced with some very technical areas.

The race has three categories:

Women ( 6 laps and possibility to use brakes)
Men 1 (14 laps, 25.2 km)
Men 2 (10 laps, distance 18 km)

Maximum security, ambulances, electronic timing and race staff are some of the details that the event organizers RJFG (Rio de Janeiro Fixed Gear) didn’t want to leave behind. There are many sponsors that have joined in sponsoring this event aims to be one of the year’s events in the country and we believe this is just the tip of the iceberg.
