November 30th was held the first edition of the TIBIDABO Hill Climb. A chrono test in Vallvidrera road to the foot of  Torre de Collserola. With a distance of 5.4 km. and a vertical drop of 320 m . became one of the toughest tests of the year in fixed scene.

There were a total amount of 52 participants, and the ambience was unbeatable. Participants came from different parts of the city, the suburbs, Vic, Igualada and even some of the braves who came from Castellón de la Plana.

The race went smoothly .

The runners reached the goal exhausted after delivering to the last drop of effort throughout the climb. Some meters before reaching the goal you could hear people encouraging and the riders making the last effort to overcome the last slope before crossing the finish line. Really crazy.

The winners of the first edition of the THC were:

1st ULTRA – Giorgio Usai (Josh ) ( 0:13:15 )
1st MEDIUM – Eduard Castanyeda ( 0:14:36 ​​)
1st GIRLS – Nuria Laje ( 0:20:46 )

In the afternoon a party was held at MUTUO Centro de Arte, which also awards were given. The atmosphere was great, lots of people, lots of beer, Jägermeister making friends and, of course, good music.

The result of this challenge for the organizers, with Terrassa Fixed and Two Wheels Fuel 4 Life has been a success. The feedbacks have been very positive, and after all the work we have done, we certainly appreciate it.

The organizers sent us special thanks to the official sponsors of the race: 8bar Bikes, Santa Fixie and Bern , to all contributors ( Mutuo, Enciclika , Creux, Pinza’t , Deathlane , Pista BCN, Sencillo Bikes, Ride and Fly) to the volunteers who participated as an organization, photographers , camera operators , designers , etc. without these, the event could not have gone better.

We’ll wait for the next edition!

    El 30 de noviembre se llevó a cabo la primera edición de la TIBIDABO Hill Climb. Una prueba cronometrada por la carretera de Vallvidrera hasta los pies de la Torre de Collserola. Con un recorrido de 5,4 km. y un desnivel de 320 m. se convirtió en una de las pruebas más duras del año de la escena fixed.

    Hubo un total de 52 participantes, y el ambiente fue inmejorable. Acudieron participantes de distintos puntos de la ciudad, de las afueras, del Vallés, de Vic, de Igualada e incluso algunos valientes que vinieron desde Castellón de la Plana.

    La carrera se desarrolló sin problemas.

    Los corredores llegaban a meta exhaustos después de haber entregado hasta la último gota de esfuerzo durante toda la subida. A dos curvas de la meta ya se oían los ánimos de la gente y se podía ver a los riders apretar los dientes y dar el último tirón para superar la última pendiente antes de cruzar la línea de llegada. Una auténtica locura.

    Los ganadores de la primera edición fueron del THC:

    1º GIRLS – Nuria Laje (0:20:46)

    Por la tarde/noche se celebró una fiesta en MUTUO Centro de arte, donde también se entregaron los premios a los ganadores. El ambiente fue genial, mucha gente, mucha cerveza, los amigos de Jägermeister haciendo de la suyas y, como no, buena música.

    El resultado de este reto para los organizadores, Terrassa Fixed junto con Two Wheels Fuel 4 Life, ha sido todo un éxito. La gente y los feedbacks que se van oyendo han sido muy positivos y, después de todo el trabajo que han hecho, estamos seguro que lo agradecerán.

    Los organizadores nos envían agradecimientos especiales para los sponsors oficiales de la carrera: 8bar Bikes, Santa Fixie y Bern, a todos los colaboradores (Mutuo, Enciclika, Creux, Pinza’t, Deathlane, Pista BCN, Sencillo Bikes, Ride and Fly), a los voluntarios que participaron como organización, a los fotógrafos, a los cámaras, a los diseñadores, etc. sin todos ellos, el evento no podría haber salido mejor.
